Though ApplicationXtender has only officially been part of the OpenText family for just a few weeks, they’ve already launched the first Service Pack for ApplicationXtender 8.1 on February 13, 2017.
Here’s what’s included in AX 8.1 SP1:
- Certification / security for Microsoft Windows Server 2016, SQL Server 2016 and Office 2016
- Image capture support update and PDF rendering performance enhancements
- Microsoft Office integration support update
- Miscellaneous patches
Existing customers current on maintenance can request the latest release of the software contacting licensing@metasource.com.
Upgrading to AX 8.x
If you haven’t upgraded to ApplicationXtender 8.0 or 8.1 yet, here’s what you’re missing:
- Mobile-enabled with an intuitive user interface (no plugins required)
- Cloud-ready for public, private or hybrid cloud deployment
- Users can easily view content within their business applications
- Rapid to deploy, requiring minimal IT involvement
- Based on open standards such as RESTful services and HTML5
- Available in English, German, Simplified Chinese, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian
